Admission Services Specialist

The Position

Knox College invites applications for a full-time, benefits eligible Admission Services Specialist. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission, the Admission Services Specialist serves as a data steward for admission data, ensuring the quality and security of data by maintaining audits and resolving data errors and inconsistencies. You’ll provide peak-time assistance to the first-year and transfer admission processes, including data entry, document processing, and production of letters and mailings. You’ll identify creative solutions and incorporate new processes to improve workflows, production, security, and the efficiency of our systems.

The position also works internally with other offices, including the Information Technology Services, Communications, and Athletics offices and campus systems (e.g. Jenzabar CX, FrontRush, Ingeniux CMS) as well as externally with third-party vendors (e.g. Common Application, Coalition for College) to transfer and integrate data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive prior experience using spreadsheet, word processing, email, and database applications, and knowledge of how to access, manage, and analyze data using various database and file formats.
  • Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • A high level of organization, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Openness to learning new technologies, resourcefulness, flexibility, a strong commitment to customer service, and willingness to adapt to constant change.
