SALARY GRADE:  5 ($18-$20 per hour)
 
 
GENERAL SUMMARY:    Under general supervision, but in accordance with established policies and procedures, is responsible for general administration of trust and farm management accounts and preparation of investment and account administrative reviews for accounts in the Wealth Management Department. Will review, maintain and prepare investment analysis reports for stocks, bonds, mutual funds and EFT’s. Will prepare account investment and administrative reviews in final form, maintaining allocation target ranges, buy list threshold criterion and investment buy lists. Will administer the preparation and filling of annual tax returns for trust and agency accounts. Will administer the selection of farm tenants, leases, landowner relationships and farmstead maintenance and improvements. Will be responsible for conducting projects and assignments as necessary.  Will receive, process and post interest, dividends and receipts for the Trust Account investments.  Will proof, reconcile and post daily transactions for Trust Accounts.  Will calculate and create disbursements from Trust Accounts.  Will transmit wire, MMA Purchases & Sales and proxy voting via the computer.  Must have a thorough knowledge of the Trust area of responsibility in order to gather data and prepare special reports, minutes, special projects and provide information etc.  Employee is responsible for producing high-quality services that are accurate, complete, in proper format, and fulfill the intended purpose in order to present a positive image of the bank.  This position requires complete confidentiality regarding all bank and holding company documents, records and personnel matters.
 
 
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
 

  1. A high level of interpersonal skills is necessary to represent the bank in a positive fashion in dealing with customers and potential business clients.  Exhibits a constant effort to serve our customer and employee needs accurately and efficiently.  Must be able to relate to and emphasize with other people and to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor throughout the day.
  2. Good oral and written communication skills.  Must ensure that written correspondence conveys the intended meaning.
  3. A thorough knowledge of all types of bank operations, including lending in order to make decisions consistent with bank and holding company policies and procedures.
  4. A thorough knowledge of bank products and services, including lending programs and qualifications.
  5. Must have a good understanding of all Windows computer applications.
  6. The mental and physical requirements of the job are as follows:
    1. The physical ability to perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs.)
    2. The physical ability to use the telephone and various types of office machines
    3. Eyestrain from using the computer for extended periods of time
    4. Physical strain on the wrist from using the computer keyboard for extended periods of time
    5. Mental stress created by performing multiple tasks simultaneously
    6. Must have a driver’s license and have access to an automobile
    7. Must be willing to travel to other regions as needed
 
MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
 
  1. A high school diploma or equivalent
  2. An Associate’s degree in a related field of study.
  3. Experience in banking, bookkeeping or accounting in order to develop the necessary skills to provide assistance for administrative type duties, exercise good judgment and work independently in the supervisor’s absence.
  4. A thorough knowledge of bank operations.
  5. Must have strong general computer skills with the ability to learn new programs with minimal instruction.
