Regional Office of Education #33 is seeking to hire a highly qualified Full-Time Preschool Family Educator partnering with the Abingdon/Avon and Knoxville School Districts.
Responsibilities overview:
- Willingness to learn and implement state/grant guidelines
- Strong knowledge of student growth and development
- Coordinate and perform developmental screenings
- Support parents/caregivers in understanding their role as a partner in their child’s education
- Create positive ties between home & school while collaborating with all school district staff
- Model developmentally appropriate activities and positive behavior management techniques
- Plan and develop educational events and family engagement
- Hours for the position are Monday– Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., evenings as needed per family events/personal visits, and follows a year-round employment schedule.
