COVID-19 Testing Coordinator

Knox College invites applications for the temporary, full-time position of COVID-19 Testing Coordinator, responsible for managing daily on-campus COVID testing to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. The Testing Coordinator reports to the Director of Health Services and works collaboratively with the Health Services staff to ensure completion of safe, reliable, and efficient testing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing test kit material inventory and ordering supplies for ongoing COVID-19 testing.
  • Creating and circulating reminders for faculty, staff, and students regarding mandatory COVID-19 testing dates, times, and requirements.
  • Assisting users with COVID testing applications and software
  • Providing detailed instructions to employees and students to ensure proper testing.
  • Overseeing testing data, including employee and student testing attendance, and ensuring complete data entry.
  • Supervising the on-site testing, including observing the self-administered specimen collections and ensuring proper handling, storing, and timely shipment of specimens.
  • Training and managing testing site employees and student workers in their duties at the test site as well as managing the test site employee schedule.
  • Communicating and recording daily testing results to the Director of Health Services.
  • Additional duties as assigned to support testing.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willing and able to adhere to strict COVID safety protocols while preserving confidential health records.
  • Available to meet position schedule requirements.
  • Ability to work in a supportive and collaborative setting to serve individuals of different backgrounds and experiences. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous health care experience.
  • Experience with data management and knowledge of Google Sheets (or other spreadsheet software).
Position Schedule
  • Monday through Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm through June 10, 2022.
