Galesburg, IL (July 2020) – Knox Pet Clinic is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Becca Schwieter to our growing team at Knox Pet Clinic. Dr. Schwieter will have appointments available at both of our locations in Galesburg and Knoxville, Illinois.

Dr. Schwieter received her Associates degree in Science from Carl Sandburg College followed by her Bachelor’s degree from Knox College with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. She completed her studies at Midwestern University receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in spring of 2020.

Before Dr. Schwieter began her higher education, she spent many hours shadowing at Knox Pet Clinic. Beginning in high school, she first shadowed Dr. Watters, followed by Dr. Siever during undergrad.

Dr. Siever says, “I’ve seen her grow from a bright, young girl to a gifted veterinarian. She has a very caring and empathetic manner that allows her to communicate well with clients. I think Becca is going to be a wonderful addition to the clinic.”

She says, “I saw my own pets receive the best care at KPC, and I wanted to be a part of that team. I knew I’d have great mentorship here as well.”

Knox Pet Clinic is excited to be able to provide care for more pets in our communities with the addition of Dr. Schwieter this summer following the addition of Dr. Swanson in November 2018.
