PIA adds 2 NEW Allegiant nonstop flights

Peoria, IL – Starting at the end of May, the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport (PIA) will offer nonstop Summer seasonal service to Sarasota and Denver!

We are proud and honored by the confidence that Allegiant has shown in the Peoria market by announcing these two new destinations.  Central Illinois travelers have always supported service opportunities to Florida, and with the new connection to Colorado, we will have two exciting destinations to add to the portfolio.  Sarasota and Denver represent two new opportunities for leisure and business travel that will now be served by Allegiant’s famous low fares.”, said Gene Olson, Director of Airports for the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria.

With the addition of Sarasota and Denver, PIA will now fly to 9 locations with Allegiant, further providing PIA passengers quality leisure destinations.
Travel has been significantly less due to the recent pandemic, but some travelers are looking at experiential destinations which allow them time away and ability to enjoy the outdoors.
The Sarasota flight will start on May 27 and run Thursday & Sunday; with Denver starting May 28 flying Friday & Monday.  These flights will continue to give Central Illinois residents additional connections to beautiful beaches and now majestic mountains and trails and breathtaking scenery!
