DESCRIPTION:Savvy Caregiver will take place in the evenings for four consecutive weeks on Thursdays starting June 7\, 2018 and running through June 28\, 2018. The four week program will take place at the Cottage Hospital\, Conference Room 2. Registration deadline for this program is May 30\, 2018. The Savvy Caregiver program is designed for family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's who live at home. The intent of the program is to provide a better understanding of Alzheimer's disease\, develop and teach care giving for a person with dementia\, present strategies when it comes to the day-to-day care of for those suffering with dementia\, as well as teach skills to take better care of yourself as a caregiver. Daryl Carlson\, Manager of Education and Outreach will present and take questions following the program. A pre-screening is required to participate!
