Galesburg, IL (March 28, 2025): The City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual community Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeside Recreation Facility.

 
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is a free event, sponsored by Hy-Vee, 105.3 KFM, and many other local businesses. This free event for area youth ages 2-11 will feature egg hunts divided by age groups with over 10,000 candy-filled eggs, and a series of grand prizes, including Lakeside Water Park family memberships! The Easter egg hunt starts at 1:00 p.m., but families are encouraged to come early to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy the mobile playground, which will be set up from noon - 2:00 p.m.

 
The event will take place outside at Lakeside Recreation Facility, located at 1033 S. Lake Storey Road. Parking is available across the street at 888 S. Lake Storey Road. Hy-Vee will also offer a grilling station, selling hot dogs and chips.

 
In addition to the traditional Easter egg hunt, Galesburg Parks and Recreation is also offering a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt at Lakeside Nature Center on April 4th, as well as a floating egg hunt at Hawthorne Pool on April 19th.
