Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Community-Wide Small Business Saturday Event

The Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to invite the community to celebrate Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 29th, a nationwide movement encouraging shoppers to support the locally owned businesses that strengthen our region’s economy.

This year, the Chamber is hosting a special community-wide event designed to increase foot traffic, highlight the unique offerings of area businesses, and encourage residents to explore and shop local. We look forward to seeing many local businesses across the Galesburg Area offer a one-day QR code for shoppers to scan and enter a giveaway at each participating location.

How It Works:

• Visit any participating business on Small Business Saturday (November 29th only)

• Scan the business’s one-day QR code to enter its individual giveaway.

• Each business will select one winner, providing shoppers multiple chances to win by visiting multiple locations.

“Our goal is to make Small Business Saturday a fun, engaging, and rewarding experience for both shoppers and our local business community,” said Pam Gaither, Executive Director of the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce. “By visiting local stores, scanning the QR codes, and meeting the people behind the businesses, residents can make a meaningful impact on our local economy—and maybe even win a great prize along the way.”

The Chamber is also providing participating businesses with Small Business Season marketing materials, including window signs and table tents, to help increase visibility throughout the holiday season. This support is part of a larger effort running through December 31 to promote shopping small and strengthen local commerce.
